Born and raised in the oil and gas business growing up in Midland, Mr. Acree has been in and around the oil & gas business all his life. Now the President of Amac Energy, LLC, Mr. Acree, has over 44 years of experience working in all phases of oil and gas E&P industry. His extensive engineering experience in production and exploration equips him with a unique insight for assessing and valuing potential investment opportunities then bringing them to fruition.
Mr. Acree has worked extensively in reservoir, production, and drilling engineering, as well as operations and management. In his career, Mr. Acree has also worked extensively with exploration programs to assess exploratory reserves and assign risk and build risk reserve and economic models for exploration portfolios domestically and internationally. In his long tenure in the industry he has worked domestically in all major U.S. basins in the U.S. and 22 different countries internationally.
From 1985 to 1997, Mr. Acree was employed by Anadarko Petroleum, where he held several positions, including staff petroleum engineer in Algiers, Algeria, and Senior staff reservoir engineer in the international exploration group. Later in his career, he served as operations & engineering manager for Devon Energy in Buenos Aires, Argentina and exploitation supervisor for Devon Energy, where he managed international assets in Egypt, Russia, Azerbaijan, China, and Indonesia.
In the 2000s, he worked as an engineering and planning manager, including portfolio management, for Endeavour International Corporation and was responsible for all North Sea exploration portfolio analysis and acquisitions in the United Kingdom, Norway, Netherlands, and Denmark. Mr. Acree also has extensive experience close to home serving as director of engineering for Woodlands, Texas based Branta Exploration Company, where he held multiple positions, including managing reservoir engineering and production operations in East Texas, Utah, and Louisiana and was part of the team that discovered a new play in the Uintah Basin, Utah in the Green River and Wasatch formations. The play is currently in the development phase and has had over 300 horizontal wells drilled and completed in the Green River and Wasatch formations.
Mr. Acree runs all aspects of Amac Energy, LLC, and conducts the business's day-to-day operations. He approaches each project uniquely, and examines the various aspects that contribute to a project’s viability and ultimate success. He runs multiple reserves and economic scenarios and models to evaluate the risk and reward of every decision made by the company. Mr. Acree oversaw the drilling, completion, and operates two wells in the Pearsall field in the Austin Chalk formation for Amac Energy, LLC.
Mr. Acree also works with Gulfslope Energy as Vice President of Business Development and Reservoir Engineering, focusing on acquisitions in the U.S. GOM.

Bob McNutt is the director of Amac Energy, LLC, and plays an advisory role in the company’s operations. Having been involved in numerous successful business ventures, Mr. McNutt is well-positioned to consult on the company’s financials, investor relations, and plans for strategic growth.
Mr. McNutt also serves as president of world-renowned Collin Street Bakery, a McNutt family business. He says he is just as passionate about the oil and gas business as he is about the fruitcake business, providing the highest level of service to our clients.
